SEPTEMBER 2024 TRESTLEBOARD MESSAGE
Dear Brethren,
As we noticed our summer is winding down unfortunately and the temperatures once again moving up and down so the lower temperatures are approaching very fast.
As you know, we had our Crab Feast and Potluck Picnic with the always help of our own RWB Sheldon Rappaport and Steve Baker and most definitively the organizing members of Manyla Lodge. As always they provided a very nice venue supplying the Crabs and Potluck with delicious plates from their beautiful country.
Although personally I couldn’t attend due to health issues I understand it went really well and everyone enjoyed it very much. I hope this is just one great reason among many other events that unite us as brothers including our families.
Our pillar officers, including myself, attended also last weekend the Leadership Conference at Almas Temple and as always it was well attended and the information and fraternal connections with other lodges to create a bond together worked really great.
What we have for you coming up is our great presentation in September from the one and only Br. Chris Rulli about his latest published book about Brother Lafayette. I did read the book already and the information is so interesting and valuable that I asked him to talk about it and he agree.
He might bring some copies and will sign them for you if so do desire. Try please to attend since I know the information will be really important and needless to say interesting as said before.
In October, we will have the Master Mason’s degree conferred to our Fellowcraft brother Scotland Jr. We decided to accept an invitation by Colonial Lodge #1821 to conferred it in addition of 7 more candidates from 4 lodges at the House of the Temple.
It will be well attended. Breakfast will be available and after the degree there are plan to have lunch at a steak house near the temple. There will be an extraordinary cast including our RWB Brother Chip Mahaney as well.
In November we will have as per our Lodge regulation our elections and right after that our Wardens program. Let’s try to be there and see our own future officers display their leadership. We have a great line of brothers willing to
continue work for us and Masonry in general and your attendance and support always help us to continue providing the best out of us. In the end, we do all this for each one of you.
Last. I’d like to thank several brothers that are always whispering at my ear on a very frequent basis helping me with ideas and also how to make our programs work the best as possible.
I thank RWB’s Rappaport, Grainger, WB’s Scotland and our Secretary Collins. Also brothers Izzy Pagan, Gene Calonge and Rulli. For me a dream team. But my big thank to WB Jay Emerson (Our CEO indeed) for his advice, great suggestions and ideas. As I always say, is not quantity but quality that makes a difference. Hope to see you soon brethren!!
